WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE
Woodburn is a culturally diverse community located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. It hosts numerous events and activities, including the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival, Taste of Woodburn, Fiesta Mexicana and many, many more.
Woodburn has beautiful parks, historic attractions, and area destinations for a day of hiking, playing, or shopping. Woodburn has excellent restaurants and is renowned for some of the best Mexican food in Oregon. Woodburn is also host to Oregon's #1 retail tourism destination, Woodburn Premium Outlet Mall.
FIESTA MEXICANA UPDATE
The 2020 Fiesta Mexicana is on track, of sorts. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic’s financial impact, which has seen the loss of primary sponsorships and entertainment, the City’s traditional Fiesta Mexicana will be revamped into an event that celebrates our community’s proud traditions of culture, food, and music; honoring those who build our vibrant community on the principals consistent with the American Dream.
While the traditional Annual Fiesta Mexicana has been postponed for now, we are confident it will once again return next year (2021) better than ever and deserving of its title of: Best Culture Event in the State of Oregon! In that spirit, this year’s planned celebration will include the popular Fiesta Parade, followed by a small celebration of food, culture and music immediately afterwards. Maintaining the tradition for over 55 years, there will be a 2020 Fiesta Court comprised of our very best young people helping to lead the way. If all goes well, the 2020 celebration will happen on Saturday, August 8 at Legion Park. So stayed tuned and keep looking here for more Fiesta related announcements as time goes on. Thank you and stay safe!
